Family Day Care Coordinator

 

 

Sydney Family Day Care is seeking applications for an experienced Family Day Care Coordinator to provide business support to our educators located throughout Sydney.

 

The role is part time offering flexibility with the possibility of increasing hours as the business continues to grow. We are seeking a well-organised, positive and energetic person to keep our coordination unit running smoothly.

 

Family Day Care Coordinators are responsible for:

• Providing professional, helpful support and training to Educators.

• Ensuring that quality outcomes are delivered to children and families enrolled in the Service.

• Monitoring compliance with National Regulations and Service policies.

• Recruiting of new Educators and developing a growing portfolio in a region.

• Motivating & mentoring a group of Educators.

Essential Criteria of a Family Day Care Coordinator:

• Diploma of Children’s Services or appropriate tertiary qualifications in the field of child development

• Driving Licence

• Cleared Working with Children check

• First Aid Certificate including current CPR

• Asthma and anaphylaxis certificate

• Child Protection training

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in children's services, offering programs for children 0 - 12 years

• Working knowledge of the National Quality Framework, including the National Regulations & Learning Frameworks

• Strong documentation, organisational & communication skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Write & manage quality improvement plans

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Commitment to inclusion and ethical practice

• Computer proficiency in Microsoft programs

• Ability to facilitate networking meetings and deliver training to small groups

• Knowledge or experience with HUBWORKS Software

• Accounts and clerical support

Desirable Criteria

• A suitably qualified educational professional to undertake extra pedagogical duties.

• Ability to write policies & systems in line with industry change when needed.

 

This is an identified position under Child Protection Legislation. A Working with Children Check & Police Clearance will be undertaken before the position is offered to the successful applicant.
